This is my brother and his sweet family! These turned out soooo good. I love the color in them. We took them at Brandi's mom's place. To look at the barn you would never guess the pictures were going to look like this. WOW! I'm so glad we were able to get these done before the snow hit. Thanks for allowing me to do this for you! I totally love this family! This is my daughter's best friends family. I think Kami feels like she is part of their family. Somedays I thinks she wishes she was! Thanks for being her second family. What a crazy weekend of picture taking!! It was a lot of fun but very exhausting. All of the sessions turned out fabulous!! The weather was perfect. Not much sun and not too cold. I met this hot mama and her two boys back in April. We were on our way home from Tacoma when we decided to stop in Kamloops or Kelowna, I can't remember. We were in the pool when we started talking to each other and found out they were from around here also! What a small world eh? I was so glad when she called me to take pictures of them. Unfortunately Dad had to work. Maybe next time he'll be able to make it. Now, I know you told me you love black and whites but I had to post these in color. I can't stand how stinkin cute they are!! This little guy was just not havin it! He was not wanting his picture taken. I think he was a bit upset about being exposed! We literally had about 15 minutes to shoot this session. It all worked out though. I have quite a few shots of "Mr. L" without his screaming at me. I do have to say.....he is the most beautiful baby boy ever!! Look at his sweet hair! How hot are these two eh?!!! This was such a wicked session to shoot! I LOVE the colors!! We shot this sesssion on their acreage or A.K.A the "Magic" house. I have to say.........it is to die for! I am soooo in love with their land. I am extremely jealous of it. Awesome and I were on our date night so he was my assistant. It was fun to visit with J & J. Very cool couple. They were such good sports to do outdoor photos. It was freakin cold! But I am so pleased with how they turned out. I think they totally rock! This lucky couple is actually getting married in Jamaica!! Too fun! Maybe I'll have to join you!

Mr. "F" did NOT want to sit still for any pictures. He was all about running up the stairs. Then he would do a little pose on the stairs to tease me. He was determined to exhaust me by the end of the night. Mom was such a trooper - running after him every time he headed for the stairs. Hard to be upset with him though. Look at his sweet, sweet face!! How do you say "no" to that?! He has definitely grown since last year. Last year he didn't like his picture taken either but at least he wasn't mobile! SPRUCE GROVE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER | "Part 1"

I am so excited to post these pictures of the wedding I shot on the weekend! I seriously love all of them. It has been hard to not keep editing!! I still have kids and a husband to take care of and LOTS of household chores to do but all I want to do is work on these. Number one, the bride is sooooo freakin gorgeous and the groom is......well......not too bad himself. Number two, the colors are awesome in these pictures. They picked out great colors to work with.

So I have to send a shout out to my girl, Shanna, from Silverslides Photography, for helping me shoot. She is a wicked photographer herself and we had such a good time together. She is such a creative genius! The red balloon was her idea and I LOVED it.

So here's the story about the pictures. It was an outdoor wedding in southern alberta in October. For those of you who don't know southern alberta weather, windy as fetch!! So not only was it cold it was windy. The poor bride and bridesmaids who braved the weather. It was soooo worth it. After the ceremony we headed out to do family pictures for about 45 minutes. Then off to shoot the bridal party.......LOL.......that sounds funny. Although, we did think about shooting the guys. A bunch of goofballs!! Thanks Shanna for taking on that task. ;) We headed out to a barn that I spotted and had shoot at. Come to find out that we were totally trespassing on someone's land. Thanks to the guys, smoothing things over, we were able to stay and finish. I'm so glad cause it was PERFECT!!!

Anyhoo, enough talk, on to the pics. Check out a few that I have been working on. I will definitely be posting more. Enjoy............................................................................

All I can say about Mr. "C" is that he has to be THE happiest baby ever!!!! I'm so not kidding. He never quit smiling the entire shoot. What an angel! I could've taken pictures of him all day. He's just suckin mom and dad in for another one. Next one's going to be hell on wheels Jess. You just wait. Or........... maybe all of your babies will be this good cause you're such a sweet mom eh? EDMONTON PHOTOGRAPHER | "All because 2 people fell in Love!"

I have to tell you that I never post pictures of families on my blog. Not that I don't love to shoot families but I want to eventually specialize in childrens photography. I am posting these for this wonderful family that I had the opportunity to work with on Saturday. Dad is in a nursing home so everyone met there for the pictures. I admit I was a little nervous as to what kind of surroundings we would have to work with BUT it was absolutely perfect! The colors turned out soooooo amazing. Awesome lugged the couch from the basement studio, which he LOVES, so I could use it for the shoot. I'm so happy that he did cause it couldn't have been better.

This family was just awesome! They were a lot of fun and Dad couldn't be any cuter. What a darling old man. I'm sure if he saw this he wouldn't be happy that I described him as "cute" or "darling" but that is exactly what he is. MINI SESSIONS STILL AVAILABLE!

I am having a hard time booking these mini sessions due to the day! I've had several cancelations because of the date. The weather looks like it will be in our favor so I don't want to change the date of the mini's. Plus, I am really booked up for the rest of October. If anyone is interested I have a 6pm, 6:30pm and possibly a 7pm. Let's remember that these sessions are to help out the Edmonton Down Syndrom Society. SPRUCE GROVE CHILDRENS PHOTOGRAPHER | "My Girlies"

Last night my girls and I headed out for a fun photoshoot. Since they were all prettied up from church I decided to take advantage of the rare moment that they actually wore what I had chosen for them and let me do their hair. We started out in a field that I have been eyeing all summer. I'm glad we finally did it cause they turned out beautiful. There were quite a few bees buzzing around us so the girls were'nt too keen on standing in the middle of the field. A little bribe and they were fine. Then we headed to another spot that I LOVE!! It's an old train that is just sitting there............The only problem with the old train is that is sits right next to the actual train tracks. While we were taking pictures the train made an appearence. The girls were FREAKIN out!! It was very loud. Needless to say, I don't think I can take clients there due to the "danger" factor. I guess if they request it............I'll have to do it again. It was awesome!! One of my favorite locations.

While editing these pictures, I was noticing how much my girls are growing up. Makes me sad to say goodbye to the baby girls but excited to see them develop into beautiful older girls. It's nice to be able to have fun conversations with them and have them understand what I'm saying. I can actually stand to listen to their music. No more "old mcdonald farm" and "abc's". We can go to girly movies together that don't consist of a cartoon princess. I just love them to death. This was a lot of fun. Maybe one day I can get some pictures of us together instead of of me behind the camera.

I have been photographing this little man since he was 10 days old. He is such a sweet thing. It's been fun to see how much he's grown in 1 year. He is now walking and ready to go! Poor little guy is teething so he has a random rash on his chin and a runny nose that mom and dad had to keep wiping which made him even more happy but none the less.......I have lots to choose from. SHOP IN THE GROVE...............................

So I am going to be a vendor in a local trade show coming up next weekend. The info is on this website! Check it out!!
I will have a couple of promo's going on and they will only be available for booking that day. One is for GRADS!! Get your photos booked early cause it'll be here before you know it! The other promo I will share with you now cause it something that I am very passionate about. As most of you know, I have a nephew who is downs syndrome. Last year we, my family, were able to attend an amazing event that they hold every year during Down Syndrome Awareness Week. It is called the "Buddy Walk". It is held to raise money for the Edmonton Down Syndrome Society. I knew after attending last year that I wanted to do something to help. These precious souls are an inspiration to me. I am amazed at how perfect they really are. So this year I have come up with a plan to offer mini sessions that will be held one day in October. The appointment will be 20 minutes, you will receive 10 edited images on a disk with a reproduction release and half of the money will be donated to the EDSS! My goal this year is to raise $600. If I can reach that, I will be extremely pleased. Every bit counts. I am hoping to set my goal higher every year. Anyone is welcome to come and walk! I will be posting more information on the Walk the closer it gets. It is held at Hawrelak Park on November 1st. I'm not sure what time it begins this year. Feel free to join "Team Takai" and help support the EDSS!

How lucky am I to have two very handsome little guys to photograph in one day. With mom as my lovely assistant to get him to look at me I think we got some really great shots. Mom & Dad brought this fabulous little puppet, which I have yet to purchase, that kept him looking in my direction. He was so very well behaved!! Especially when we are taking pictures at bed time. This is the second time I have taken pictures of this little man. Isn't he just the cutest?!! I love, love, love his eyes. They are the most beautiful blue ever! This is my cute little neighbor that we have "adopted" as our 6th kiddo! My girls absolutely adore her! I think they really enjoy being the "older" sisters to this little girly girl. We headed out for a family session and found a really cool bridge. They were such good sports since it was only 30 degrees and extremely humid. Poor Rob.........he had to be dying of heat but he was such a trooper. He didn't even complain once!! Can you believe it? My hubby would've pulled "the hulk" by the end of it. Here's my BFF and her beautiful girls..........
She's probably going to kill me for posting this without asking but that's what best friends do. I just KNEW she would let me. ;) This is my BFF who is moving to southern alberta. Yep.....sold her house and is moving 6 freakin hours away. Good thing I have unlimited long distance calling. We talk on the phone at LEAST 3 times a day and we usually see each other once a day. She lives, I mean, LIVED down the alley from me for 5 years. I seriously don't know what I'm going to do without her. We have had some wicked adventures together. Too many to mention. I'm not going to get all mooshey cause it's bed time and I don't feel like crying.........I'll wake up with puffy eyes and then it takes half the day for the "swelling" to go down. Anyone over 30 knows what I'm talking about. Thanks for the good times Ang! I love ya girl. I know we'll have more adventures together but just not as many.............I'm just feeling sorry for myself.

A Belated Happy Birthday........

to my oldest baby!! Things have been super crazy around here that I haven't had a chance to post anything. He knows he's still loved..........I think?! I just have to tell you how freakin awesome this kid is. He is always willing to help me with the kids or chores or whatever I ask of him. It may not always be accompanied with a smile and a "I would love to do that for you mom" but none the less, he does it. He is the bestest big brother that anyone could ask for. He's always tring to keep the peace cause he knows that I'm not all that patient. I sooooo appreciate this. He plans FHE for us and makes it very interesting. I think he does it so he can plan the activity. Usually involves a movie, bike ride, swimming(which I hate so I usually say no), slurpees. I love that he plays with his younger brothers. They think he's the coolest thing ever! They always want to tag along.........most of the time he lets them.

I love that he's not too tough or cool to give me a hug once in a while. And sometimes I even get an "I Love You Mom". Melts my heart. I feel so blessed to have been trusted with him. I am proud to be his mom. I love him soooo much. It's weird to think that he's 10 years old. It feels like yesterday we brought him home. Boy how time flies!

Well I hope he had a wonderful day. Here's a picture we took of him before we headed south for our summer holidays. Isn't he handsome?

Spruce Grove Childrens Photographer | "HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY BABY!!"

I can't believe how fast my baby is growing up!! It feels like yesterday I was holding a brand new baby boy. He is still such a baby to me and it will always feel that way. He is such an amazing little man. He has one of the craziest personalities. At any moment he could charge at you like a bull and believe me, it feels like you've actually been hit by one. I have never met anyone so strong at such a young age. He is, by far, my toughest kid. Yet, at times, he is absolutely the most loving, kind and somewhat gentle little being. He still likes to cuddle with me but wants to be treated like the older kids. We went for a family bike ride the other night and all of us were on our own bikes. This has never happened. Usually Awesome has the two boys in the bike trailer but Kobe got a bike for his birthday and so we had enough bikes for the whole fam. We stopped at Sev for some beverages and had to climb a little hill to get to it. One of my older kids tried to help Kobe cause he could see that he was struggling but no way would he let anyone help him. He is a "big kid" now!

I love this kid to death! He is definitely one of a kind. I love every boyish detail. The dirt under the nails, the "wet dog" smell when he sweats, the spitting in the hand for a hand shake, the blowing on my cheek when I ask for a kiss, making mud whenever he can, capturing frogs, ants, grasshoppers, spiders and calling them his pets. Most of all, I love his hugs. Big warm bear hugs that he loves to give me.

I hope he has a wonderful day and I hope he knows that I LOVE him. Happy Birthday Kobester!!

I've been slowly editing my pictures from our vacation to Echo Lake this summer. I am missing it sooooo much. I have been vacationing there for about 22 years now and it keeps getting better and better every year. This year I actually got to relax!! My kids all played so well with each other and with their cousins. I was able to get a tan and read a book. Something I haven't been able to do since my single days. It was wonderful. It was nice to sit and watch my kiddies have a good time with each other. I cherish the days that we spent together as a family. I remember a lot of good times with my two younger brothers. I know my kids will feel the same way one day.

I really loved how the colors in the pictures popped but then when I converted them to chocolate I loved them even more! Good luck trying to decide Lori. This was a fun session for me to shoot cause I already knew the family. We hit up three different locations to shoot at. I loved how the Canola Field looked with the colors they were wearing. The second location had a serious mosquito problem. We were eaten alive but well worth it. Then we headed to the park which is always fun for the kiddos. They deserved to chill at the park after a long night of picutre taking. Thanks for the enjoyable evening.................

has been soooo neglected. I haven't fallen off the face of the earth but I have been vacationing. Man it's hard to get back into the swing of things when you've been away for so long. I'm almost caught up on my laundry and household chores. I've been dying to download my pictures from my holidays. I've also been trying to work on sessions that I started editing before holidays. I am working hard to get that all caught up. Anyhoo, I will try to post a few pictures here and there as I go.

I had to post these pictures of my darling nieces that I took when we were visiting in raymond. These two are so dang cute!!! I asked the older one if she liked getting her picture taken and she told me NO! Too bad, cause she is a born model. The younger one made us work for this one.

I just had to post this picture. I took this on Canada day after we had gotten back from the festivities downtown. We were all exhausted and ready for some nice cool watermelon. Awesome cut it into huge chunks for the kiddies and away they munched. Now, as I look out the window and see nothing but grey skies, I look at this picture of my baby girl and all I can think of is running through the sprinkler on a hot SUMMER day, mom cutting up watermelon for us to eat, and having absolutely nothing to worry about. No deadlines to meet, no bills to pay, no job..........just chillin on the front porch eatin a chunk of watermelon and wondering what in the world am I going to do next? Once in a while I'd like to go back to those days and have no cares in the world. I'm pretty sure that's why I have children.........to remind me to take a minute in my day and just be a kid.

This was such a treat for me to photograph this little guy. He is the PERFECT baby! Sleeps when I want him to sleep and hardly even makes a fuss. He loves to just veg. If I could have another baby like him, I would consider #6. Awesome loves it when I have newborn shoots cause I can get my baby fix but this one kinda gives me the fever!! It was nice to visit with Nancy who I think is one of the most amazing women I've ever met. She is a rock. Anyone who knows her would agree. I'm glad I had the opportunity to do this for you.

Here are a few teasers for you two love birds! I've decided that engagement sessions are one of my absolute favorites to shoot. I didn't even have to give them any direction.....they just did what two people who are madly in love with each other do. Melissa is a good friend of mine so this was fun for me. Quentin, you are a lucky guy! I'm sure I don't have to tell you how wonderful and kind Melissa is. Oh and did I mention absolutely beautiful!!! She is going to make such a pretty bride. You know when you meet someone and you instantly feel like you've known them for a long time? That is exactly what I felt meeting this family. They are the sweetest family. I really enjoyed my time with them. Theset two little munchkins were such a treat to photograph. Little Mr. "L" was not going to sleep for nothin. He is soooo alert and very strong. Mom and Dad are going to be busy chasing after this little guy sooner than later. Big Brother "R", well.......I LOVE this kid! He has such a sweet personality! And so smart! He's not quite 2 yet and he talks up a storm. I am amazed at how well he speaks.

A little sneak peak for you guys! Here are my favorites from our session. It was very hard to narrow it down to just a few. Thanks for sacrificing your van to get to our location! I think it was definitely worth it. I was soooo impressed how well the kids behaved. We were here, there and everywhere. They were such troopers!

So I can't decide if I like it better in black and white or color?

K-In the picture of mom and dad, I totally thought I got him to kiss her but NOOOO.........when I took a closer look I was pretty sure he was making farting noises on her forehead! Nice....

I was trying out some new lighting techniques today and this is what I had to work with. These two have to be two of the most entertaining boys EVER!! They just play off each other.

Yesterday we had some friends visiting so we hit Whyte Ave and took a few pics while we walked. These are just a couple of my fav's. I LOVE these girls to death! They are so stinkin pretty! I hope my girls are just like em when they grow up. They had a lot of fun together getting their pictures taken. I enjoyed spending time with them. It makes me miss my high school friends. I know these girls will be friends forever! So about a month ago my hubby and I were able to get away for a few days. During our 4 day adventure we stopped in New York to check things out. We stayed with some friends of ours and they gave us the grand tour in less than 24 hours. They were the best hosts ever. Here are a couple of scenery pictures that I took. I'm not really a good landscape photographer but I thought I'd give it a shot. If I had the New 5D MII maybe I wouldn't have to worry about the "graininess"(if that's even a word). Hopefully awesome is reading this and can take a HUGE hint. Mother's Day is just around the corner. LOL I have more on my family blog.

A good friend of mine came over this morning and we did a little mini shoot with her angel! She was so content the entire time but would not give up a smile for nothin!! Her big brother slipped in a few times to help us out but I think he was having way too much fun with my kids to really want to help. I don't blame him. I was able to get some good ones though. I can't believe I am lucky enough to be able to shoot such beautiful girls in their amazing grad dresses. Makes me want redo my graduation! I wish we had dresses like these back in my day. And the wicked shoes!!! We're not in Kansas anymore! LOL......I'm a super nerd but I had to do it. Anyway, this lovely lady was very fun and cooperative. She should seriously model! While in NYC, we had the best tour guides..........Chad and Naomi. We totally appreciate you guys showing us around. We had the best time and want to go back. My head is spinning with ideas for the upcoming year. I learned sooooo much from all of the speakers at WPPI this year. Some of the speakers included:
Robert Lino who spoke on posing.
David Ziser who is a master at lighting techniques!
Audrey Woulard who is a childrens photographer. Sad thing though......her room filled up fast so I ended up on the floor and about 15 minutes into her presentation the fire marshalls came around and kicked us out cause we were sitting on the floor. I heard from several photographers that it ended up being a question and answer period so I didn't miss too much.
Alycia Alvarez also spoke on childrens photography. I learned a lot from her. She is a fabulous photographer!
One of the my absolute favorite speakers was Kirk voclain. He is soooo animated and great at what he does. I really enjoyed what he had to say.
One lady that I LOVE is Tamara Lackey. I wish I could sit and listen to her for weeks. She had so much good advice on running a photography business. I could go on and on.
The last speaker that I was able to hear was Vicki Taufer who amazes me! This girl knows her stuff and is such an inspiration to me. LOVE HER!

Steve hit up a couple of photoshop and lightroom classes which was nice. He's excited to show me what new things I can do in photoshop!

There were soooo many other speakers but I couldn't be in 2 places at once. My good friend, Shannon Pratt, was also there which made it even more enjoyable. She was saying to me how she felt a little "star struck" while sitting in a room of amazing photographers who are very respected in the business. I have to agree. I did get to meet some of the greats. Angie, I did not get to meet Jasmine Star. I wished I could have but there's always next year. ;)

I feel excited and energized from all of this. I'm going to be making some changes in how I run my business. I know this won't happen over night but it will help me become more efficient. I'm also excited to try new techniques that I've learned. So to those of you who have sessions booked, please be patient with me.

All in all, I am humbled seeing how many great photographers there are. I have soooo much to learn.

Well, I'm off to Vegas in a few looooong hours!! I'm very excited if you can't tell already! I already have butterflies for the flight. I have to say that I don't enjoy flying very much but this one will be worth it. Awesome will be with me so I'll be fine! I just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Valentine's Day!!!! Girls Just Wanna Have Fun

My little girl is all about being a 'model'. She absolutely loves working the camera. So yesterday a couple of her friends came over after school and Kami asked if they could all be 'models' in the pettiskirts! I never turn down an opportunity to snap a few shots of my kids or their friends. I know one day they will be telling me to get out of their faces with my camera. I want to cherish this as long as I can. We cranked up Miss Vanessa Hudgens and the girls rocked out! It kinda reminded me of my childhood and listening to Madonna and rockin out in my room. Oh the good times!

He's back!! I photographed this little guy when he was about 2 weeks old and now he is back and sooooo adorable! I have to say that I absolutely love, love, love red hair! And look at his baby blues. He is just perfect! My favorite picture of the day was the "anger management" shot! The irony in it all is that he is such a mellow baby. I caught him just at the right moment and voila......! How cute is this little baby girl? She would not sleep for nothin! Too much excitement I guess. We have sooooo many great shots that it is hard to narrow it down. I just love the freshness of a newborn. I love to look at their eyes and wonder what is going on behind them. What are they thinking? This little princess made me really want another one. I guess this is a good job for me. I get to hold new babies and enjoy them for a couple of hours but I still get to sleep through the night.......most of the time. The countdown is ON!!!! For all of you wondering what WPPI is, check out this link! Steve and I are heading to VEGAS on Friday the 13th! I am freaking out! The other day I thought I'd stop in at my favorite kids clothing store in the grove, Dragon Lilies, and check out the sales. They have a ton of stuff on sale so you should check them out. I found the cutest pj's ever for my little boys. First off, I love the Knuckleheads brand and Dragon lilies carries it. These gems were 25% off! Anyway, since yesterday was -26, we set up the lights and had a fun photo shoot in our jammies! These two were crazy heads the whole time. As you can see, they still have the bed head hair! Yes, I know they need a hair cut. Good times!

someone to share my talent with. This has been such an eye opener to how blessed I am in my own life. The stories that were sent to me were absolutely amazing. I just have to thank everyone that participated in this. I will definitely be doing this again next year and hopefully many more to come. I wish I could do this for more families but I also have a family that I have to look after and this business helps a lot. I'm hopeful that next year there will be even more photographers that join in. What a great cause.

I'm excited to work with the family I have chosen. From what I have read about them, they are some of the most selfless people. I'm sure I could learn a ton from them. Like I said before, I will not publish who they are nor will I publish the nominator.(don't really know if this is a word);)

I hope you all have a wonderful christmas with your families! We are just getting ready to eat and then act out the nativity. My kids have been working on the costumes all afternoon and they have parts for everyone. My parents are here and they rest of the family will be with us soon. I love, love, love christmas! I especially love my family and appreciate all that they put up with from me. Sometimes mom gets a little crazy during the holidays wanting everything to be perfect. I now realize that everything is perfect........I have my favorite people with me for the holidays and that's all that matters.

Now He's One!

Time sure flies. I can't believe this little guy is one already. Here he is 6 months ago. He was cute
then and he's even cuter now!

Now he is already walking and crawling up the stairs like a crazy man. He did so well during our session. He lasted longer than most one year olds. It was good to see these guys again. Hello Cuteness!!!!

These 5 Kids are so dang cute! We started our adventure when Aubrey and I took our 10 children to the west edmonton mall on friday. Yes, we are insane! We had both forgotten to bring strollers so that was fun. We actually ended up buying strollers for our younger ones. We just don't have enough arms. We went to gap kids to pick out outfits for the kids.......CRAZY! We had our oldest ones standing at the doorway like security guards to make sure no one left the store. They did pretty good. I don't think I've shopped so fast in my life. As you can see we found some darling things for the kiddos to wear. After a couple of hours we had had enough. Our photo shoot was the next day after Aubrey's family went to the waterpark all day. I think the kids did awesome at 7:30pm. What a long day for them. I hope you think it was worth it! I do.

these kids are some of the cutest kids ever! Check out their beautiful eyes. I love taking their picture.......how photogenic can ya get? These two were very easy to work with. Not bad for a 5year old and a 2 year old. I have a two year old and he not nearly this cooperative. He lasted for about 40 minutes without too much hassel. You two can come back anytime!

Chris is actually a photographer himself so NO PRESSURE! =) They drove up from Calgary for the day.........you know......a little photo shoot and then off to West Edmonton Mall! Glad you hit up bath and body works. And yes, it is absolute chaos right now at our wonderful mall.

I've been eyeing this spot down for months now and so I'm glad I was able to take their pictures here. I'm pretty sure it's someone's land but we looked for a NO TRESPASSING sign and there was none to be found. I'm happy you two were good sports and would totally take the fall for me......right? I have to post this! I have had the opportunity to work with Wayne on his first album about 12 years ago. Oh my, that really makes me feel old! Wayne is a singer/songwriter and this year he was nominated for a Pearl Award in 3 catagories! He took home Male Recording Vocalist of the year! Wow, what an accomplishment! I am so excited for him and his family.

I also helped out with the photography for his new Christmas Album called, "This Night - the christmas collection". According to his wife, Jasmine, it is the best one so far. I can't wait to hear it! He even has his two girls singing on the album......sweet! This would be a great inspirational gift for christmas. It's been a crazy few days in Michigan! Thank you to everyone who has been so patient with your pictures. I am back now and ready to get all caught up on my editing and ordering. I feel so blessed and fortunate to have met so many people this past week. I am going to miss staying up until 3am and laughing myself silly. I am also thankful to those that helped out with my kiddies while I was away. I can't tell you all how nice it was to know that my babies were taken care of. Thanks again!

about this beautiful little girl. She is too cute. We had family pics scheduled and had to reschedule and reschedule but we found a day to at least get some pics of little missy! If you saw her parents you would know why she is so beautiful. I can't hardly wait to get the rest of the family in front of the camera. Enrica, I have a lot more to edit but I figured I would get a couple of these posted for you to look at. All of the jumping and screaming actually worked! Haha

K-so last month I had the opportunity to be a vendor at a trade show in Sherwood Park and I came across these wicked t-shirts! The creators are from Sherwood Park. My boys wear these shirts all the time now. They think they are awesome because they have "diamonds" on them. I also bought one of these t-shirts for me and it is soooo comfy. I'm so happy with the pictures of these two little guys. They are too cute for words. I love their eyes. You can tell a lot from the sparkle in their eyes. It was so nice to meet this family. Mom and Dad sure make some cute kids. I can't wait to start editing their session. I have a lot of fun pictures to choose from!

is all I have to say about these two little girls! It started to get a bit chilly out and these two little ones were so good. Who knew the baby would be so cooperative while lying in tall grass. She did very well. Little Miss "A" was soooo active. But we managed to get some really great shots of her. These are just a couple of teasers for mom and dad!

I just finished up my sister and brother-in-law's pictures from their summer wedding. Oh my what a ton of work! I truly appreciate wedding photographers and I know why they charge what they do. I had to post a few more because I love how they all turned out. I don't do weddings but seeing these finished makes me want to. I just can't justify the time away from my kiddies right now. They are only little once. And although they drive me up the wall somedays......I love them to death! Ok, enough about me.....I'm rambling! Check out my father-in-law's mustang. How lucky are these guys to get to drive it. He has several hot cars that we do get to rod around in when we go home to visit. It's a blast!

I have been so busy this month that pictures are taking a little longer than I expected. In the past I could have them finished in 1-2 weeks but with the rush for "fall" pictures I am absolutely swamped! So, those of you that are waiting please bear with me I am working around the clock to try and finish them. As you all know I have 5 kids and I still have my mom duties which come first. I start editing about 8:00pm and I have to call it quits around midnight or else I'm useless the next day. Anyhoo, thanks to all of you who have been so understanding.

A Special Place in my Heart

I had to post a link to this story. I have been following this family's journey through one of the most difficult things I can imagine. Cancer is such a hard thing to deal with. I am amazed at their courage and strength through this whole ordeal. I have to say that I have a special place in my heart for them. Cam and Coralee are from my hometown of Cardston. My mom works with Coralee at the Jr. High and she is constantly filling me in on what's happening. Cam and Coralee have a blog that they update as much as they can to keep everyone posted. I read it every couple of days to see how they are doing. I have to tell you, it has changed my whole outlook on life. I have had some very touching moments reading this. My testimony has grown leaps and bounds. I can't express how much I love my Heavenly Father for giving me the opportunity to have a family and to know that I will be with them for eternity. What a comforting feeling it is. I hope the best for this family.

for having met this wonderful family. I just have to say after our session, I came home and told my kids all about these kids and how I hoped that one day they would be just as nice as they were. I was so impressed with how they treated each other. While I was editing last night my daughter sat with me and she immediately said, "is that the really nice family?" I told her yes and she said, "I think that I want to be like them." Let's just hope that lasts.

We started our session off in the pouring rain. I had arrived about 45 minutes early to check things out and the weather was beautiful. About 10 minutes before we were to meet, it started to pour. When I met up with them I thought we would have to reschedule but they stuck it out and we found some covered spots to take pics. After a little while, the sun came out and it was beautiful. Thanks guys for sticking it out!

The Farm

I can't believe I have neglected my blog for so long! I have been so busy this month its crazy plus I've been sick for the last 4 days. Hopefully I am on the mend and I can get caught up on my editing. I just finished all of the pictures for this beautiful family. They have the most unbelievable farm......I am insanely jealous. I had the opportunity to shoot the pictures out at their farm. I would need a week check out the whole thing. Carol invited me and my clan to come out for a b-b-q afterwards. My kids can't stop talking about "the farm". One day we'll hopefully be able to move someplace where they can have quads and lots of jobs!! ;) Here are a few from our session.

I am in love with these pictures of my precious kiddos! Today started out raining and cold but around lunch the sun came out. The kids wanted to go for a walk to the neighbors house so we took the "scenic" route. I brought my camera and I am soooo glad I did. The kids actually let me follow them around with it. I don't think they could be any cuter! I love these guys.

We found a bunch of lady bugs and it was like they had never seen one before. All crouched down to admire it.This picture just screams brotherly love. I wish they were like this all of the time.
